I couldnt really smell it much on me and I sprayed a good amount of sprays all over. This is truly amazing! So if you like the scent, it's probably worth the price. Right up my alley.
Projects like a little pink beast so don't overspray it.
Tempted to buy a bottle but need to test longevity.
It's nice, smells likeable, although maybe for someone in their mid to late twenties. But we are still girls.
It's so pretty. Several more hours later she texted me that she just got out of the shower and she can still smell it. Rose + vanilla + coffee + soap. It's a fresh fruity musky floral scent that is very likeable and inoffensive. I layer them and get stopped walking in a store. I tested it today. First I will say that I love the bottle.
Pretty safe blind. I was hoping for more. I wish the pear tartness in the opening would last throughout to balance the sweetness a bit.
This fragrance is super good. After about an hour it dries down into a skin scent of musk. It's really good on the calm-down and I love the soft sweetness of the pear mingled with the musk. This is hands down one of the best perfumes of 2020, I went to Macy's smelled the tester and came home with it, get lots of compliments, someone in the comments said it smells like S original, there is absolutely no way this smells like S pasione which i also own and can tell you is not true.
However this fragrance gave me hope that I can wear a rose fragrance! Its a very young scent to me (good for a teenage girl, maybe 14-16 years old).
Won't break anyone's bank and lasts a long time on the skin. Very angelic ballerina vibes -- perfect teenager scent. The pear definitely makes this a bit crisper and not unbearingly sweet, which I think it almost is (for me personally).
There is something that reminds me of my childhood maybe that's why I love this musky powdery perfume.
Im not mad for either but I think if you like irresistible then Fairy Love might be a safe blind buy, plus you can get that for such a bargain price nowadays!
The pear is at the forefront of both and theyre both quite sweet.
I swear there's blackberry in this.
If you are contemplating on buying it, definitely test it first. Undeniably cute , soft and gentle . I do not suggest buying full retail price as its not worth it!
I won't be really wearing it but it has certain charm to it.
Violet 2), Ci 19140 (Yellow 5).
And it projects well too.
It has this sexy gourmand to it but a light fresh aquatic note at the same time, its so hard to put into words but its amazing!!
The reason being is I wish it was a bit more of a stronger scent not as in heavy but as in more long lasting and just more noticeable when you wear it. It smells feminine, bold, and expensive. Its really flirty and I LOVE how sweet it is . Ive never felt so pretty holding a tester strip in a store.
I wouldn't re-gift it to my 13 year old sister. It's not cloying or overly sweet, it smells refreshing.
Torn on this one.
This classy sparkling elegant rose scent is floating around me, and it really is irresistible. I won't ever forget this, it has made a remark in my scentmemory. :) There is a tiny little bit of an iris note there, too. Definitely going in the trash. I paid so much money for something that smells and lasts like a VS body mist . Imagine a woman in her late 20's or early 30's, hair and makeup simple but perfectly done, wearing a blush pink trench coat and a low end designer bag, she's understated and kind.
Not a huge fan even though the scent is somewhat nice.
It's not my usual thing so I can smell it harshly for an hour or 2 before I become noseblind.
So pink. More for woman, for all the ages, for all the seasons & occasions.
It's a very sweet, fruity, fresh perfume, perfect for daytime use. I like it, but I definitely dont love it. This one doesn't not spell 'buy me.'
It wasnt completely unnoticeable I just wish I could pick it up more. Its so interesting how fragrances present differently on different body chemistries and smell different to different noses. fresh and clean. The cedar in the base grounds this fragrance and prevents it from being overly musky. For sure, it is a floral, fruity perfume.
Its sweet and pretty inoffensive - my first thought was raspberry bonbons, which I quite enjoyed. It's a bit generic but I honestly really liked this when I smelt it on a sample.
After it settles down for hours, all I smell is the powdery scent to it. So bummed about that.
The first thing I thought of was a young and feminine primary school teacher with a gentle countenance.
I received a free small sample.
There is something that I find jarring on the initial spritz that just does not let my mind rest with this scent. A rosy musky fragrance that is very generic and a safe buy. Tested at Sephora Italy and loved it.It is a soft sweet chic and very feminine fragrance perfect for spring and summer. It projects very well and longevity is a beast, very well crafted, modern yet classy besides pear it features syrawberry in the top notes,it is actually a quite complex scent,it is sweet but in a very elegant way Beautiful!
It's just not really a fun or unique scent to me, and it lasts about 4 to 5 hours with a low to moderate projection.
I forgot how much I love this stuff and how versatile it is when it comes to when and how you wear it, it could easily be a colder weather fragrance and just as easily be a warmer weather fragrance.
Typically I would never even bother with these fragrances because I find they often are sickly sweet and they vibe much more with a younger crowd than it does with the average 40 year old woman like me, but somehow this works and that makes me happy because I do love those scents to smell just not as a personal perfume, more like spritz on my blanket to cuddle up with.
I sprayed it on her wrist for her to try, she liked it so I gave it to her.
I looove sweet scents but this one is the perfect balance, its not sickly sweet but also has a nice soft smell to it (its the rose! I think they did a great job of bringing rose and iris to a new generation of noses.
I've done many blind buys during the quarantine and this is the first perfume I tried after the lock down. It's a mistery to me.
it reminds me a lot of what you smell when you walk by the macy's fragrance counter.
Girl next door perfume. I thought it would be boring like idole.
Really happy with this perfume! Opens up similar to delina like a creamy rose. I tested it out without knowing any of the notes.
Slightly more grown up, but the same level of marshmallowy sweetness.
Just a nice sweet musk that did last all day on my clothes (hence the friend noticing it when we hugged). She's a sweetheart but a little forgettable for being so uniform and predictable.
This is a really beautiful fragranceuntil it dries down on me. Overall I'm not very impressed and won't be purchasing this one. Easy reach for every day if you are into shampooey soft flowers with a little sweetness.
The pear note and the creamy musk stand out on me very nicely- its got a very nice warmth that is borderline gourmand smelling but then the iris and rose lend an almost sophisticated clean, soapy to the finish which makes it a very warm, cozy, clean fruity perfume on me.
Rose is one of the only florals I like, and paired with the pear it smells heavenly.
But heres my thing when I am buying a new fragrance, especially at the price of a Givenchy-this fragrance better be strikingly breathtaking when I give er a sniff, and it better last all day or most of all-IT BETTER WORK!!! Fragrantica Inc, United States.
Yes, it is pretty, yes, it is likeable, it has potential, but I found no depth; someone mentioned girl hairspray and I couldt shake that smell off my head!
I am into niche fragrances these days but I am quite impressed by this one. Fresh soap! I love pear in fragrances, and this is a lovely fruity Rose, with a musky, powdery dry down. But thats not a huge compliment, when its not bad! To me it gives me that super sweet almost too sweet but then is evened out with light fruity florals.
I never wouldve thought Id really enjoy this perfume based on the notes alone (Im more of a fruity and gourmand girl) but WOW, this perfume is so nice!
I am so confused how majority of people said it has an enormous sillage.
It's subtle and goes well together with the Rose and powdery feel. Smells like a woman, and im not sure im quite there yet.
But I'm not a fan of aquatics.
Like other reviewers said below, the opening is sweet, like cloying sweet.
First spray smelled like fruity beer.
I sprayed this today and instantly thought of Fairy Love by escada.
A little goes a long way.
Nothing too risky but kind of special anyways.
When I smell the sample or smell right after I've sprayed it on myself, it's so, so good.
This settles on my skin almost identical to og Signorina by Salvatore Ferragamo. After 7 hours of wear I could still smell it on my wrists but its not out there in your face.
But it is fabulous, uplifting, and expensive smelling. Not another typical, boring flanker.
Absolutely stunning.
its fantastic but lacks depth. Its a nice spring fragrance.
If you are someone who also enjoys a nice pear note, I think this is a safe blind buy as it is quite mass appealing.
Day and nighttime wear!
Intoxicating.
and better worked on and more mature.
initial spray was sugary and i was able to pick up on the pear note which tingled my nose in a pleasant way lol, and then it turned into a slightly fresh, feminine, lighthearted scent. perfect for anyone who wants to smell freshly out the shower.
It makes me sour that its priced so so so much higher than what I would ever pay for something like this when there are so many options that are similar for so much less. I dont like it much as I no longer enjoy so much musk. On my skin extremely soapy and not much else. However, it's my second day wearing this, and the smell is definitely sweeter than it was yesterday (same two sprays in each inner elbow). I like Irresistible- it's pleasant, likable, and makes me feel pretty but it's nothing earth shattering and the performance wasn't too great- it lasted on my skin for about 4 hours and the scent stayed close to my skin.
smell like a sophisticated rose water. beautiful fragrance but it didnt last on me.
Not cute.
And which lasts only couple of hours if that. Half decent. Lots of sweetness.
I received this as a tester bottle. This is somewhat more juicy in a way when i smell directly on my skin, but absolutely so similar when I catch wiffs.
I expected more from Givenchy, some of their fragrances have been quite unique and boldlike Hot Couture & L'Interdit!
Strange reviews here.
the longevity is non-existent. I find it has a more gourmand vibe than a fruity floral, which normally isnt my thing but in this it just works so well. I've tried the other irresistible fragrances (live irresistible, very irresistible, floral irresistible, etc) and this is by far my favourite.
1 spray and I can easily smell it on me for hours. This was the best of a bad lot in my sampling today. Preface : Everyone has different tastes. This can be worn for any occasion! Its not offensive in any way, rather clean and comforting, just not my taste. Fades significantly in four hours.
I even had my friend who is a RELIGIOUS black opium user ask to borrow it before a night out because she liked it so much. I really loved this more than I thought I would! It doesnt have that musky powdery scent either so its just right! I got this in a sample bag and was really excited to try it.
I enjoy eating the occasional pear, but I'm starting to realize when it comes to perfumery, I don't like to smell like them. Underwellming, too weak for the GIVENCHY brand, just forgettable.
Would not purchase unless found for VERY cheap but its nice and Ill wear the sample when I want something easy to wear in this genre. Thats what I get, a chemical smell that ruins the perfume, because I love what lies underneath and this chemical veil stops it from shining as it can.
I think of this as a scent you could have as your signature if you enjoy it. Finally the lucky owner of this one.
Smells like a fruity rosy shampoo, more on the fruity side in my opinion. Perfect for a young mademoiselle, 20- 35 years old young women.
I wouldnt purchase this for retail price. unfortunately, i find it just a little too sharp and artificial, while simultaneously not being that interesting as a scent.
the scent then dries down as a fruity floral with a musky background. Im so glad she gave me this, I love it!
You see, I dont particularly like very sweet fragrances, my taste is more towards the citrus, fresh, airy.
Although I dont think I found a pay-full-price-cant-be-without scent love, I can see myself thinking about this and wanting it in my spring/summer rotation because the dry down is worth the rattling introduction.
Umema: The Perfume That'll Never Be Smelled.
And this is most definety not like that.
The longevity and sillage are moderate, but is enough to still be noticed.
But for the price its really pleasant maybe a bit boring.. Gosh, I hate pears. When I read the notes Idole by Lancome immediately came to my mind don't love the bottle but the juice is very pretty. Its better than Very Good Girl which turns plasticky on me, but to me it gives a similar vibe just a bit lighter on the rose.
It's quite fruity which is right up my alley and the musk adds a clean & freshness to the scent. i would love it if someone buy it for me but i am not sure to invest in it because this is a very common smell. i think there was a moment after buying this where i felt unsatisfied, because i had made it out in my mind to be an extremely punchy, overpoweringly luxe musk bomb people could smell on you from a mile away.
I tried to love it but couldnt.
This is lovely but I find it quite strong and it easily could induse headache and shortness of breath!
I find it very cloying. This reminds me so much of Lancme La Vie Est Belle Intensement.
love the powdery smell along with the musk. I know, I know, pear is so popular and it's in every new designer fragrance, but.I really like it!
My adidas edt lasts longer on me.
I thought I'd give this one a try as Givenchy Very Irresistible is one of my longest term fave scents.
I see myself wearing this with pearls & dresses, but also can see myself wearing it with jeans & a t-shirt.
Interesting how they position it as a rose fragrance, when on me I cannot smell it at all!
Non offensive, pleasant bright sparkly. I did not get an extreme rose or any floral from this, really, though I do love rose-forward scents and would have liked that if I got it.
Reminds me SO much of Ari. Very similar vibes to Si Passione & Si passione intense.. not a unique scent. A perfume I'd associate with a fairy or a beautiful forest maiden with lush curls and a flowy dress.
I expected it to be quite generic and while it does feel a little bit generic, it still has this strong, juicy pear note that makes it so joyful and upbeat that I can't be really mad at it.
It did smell like a pretty, but generic, fruity floral scent.
For me, it gives me certain summery vibes. If you like fresh sheer florals that have some sweetness and almost watery feel, this one is for you.
Irresistible is a musky floral scent with a slight watery crispness provided by the pear.
Some will find this boring, and I will admit I am not blown away, but it is a nice change from all the sugar bombs that seem to be the norm today. I don't know why but I do get some marshmallowy vibes like Ari by Ariana Grande. It's mixed in with fruitiness but not in an overbearing way, or a teenager way. As per my usual SDM shopping trip I picked up a few fragrances on the $19.99 shelf (like high end ones that they were clearing out think Prada and types like that) so anywho-they had no samples of anything she could give me so she gave me a 30ml travel spray of THIS!
Never too much but classy with a twist.
Seriously designers, why do you discontinue good and great perfumes and then create this type of thing? This is hands doen one of the best perfumes of 2020, I went to Macy's smelled the tester and came home with it, get lots of compliments, someone in the comments said it smells like S original, there is absolutely no way this smells like S, which i also own and can tell you is not true. Perfumes: 73,873
This is a new fragrance. Nothing stands out as disagreeable on my skin, and its actually quite pleasant to wear. Givenchy really did an amazing job on this one. I wouldn't say this is particularly fruity, it is definitely more musky than fruity, but as someone who doesn't particularly care for musk (like Kayali or Initio, I prefer the Narciso musk) I am actually drawn to the musk scent from ambrette for some reason. But, it doesn't have a lot of depth nor is it super unique. Got to smell this walking through a department store and although I only have modest first impressions, I liked it well enough. I desperately want it.
The longevity was really good too.
Great for teenagers imo.
Definitely a win for me!
I thought I'd give this another try in warmer weather. To me it very much reminds Hugo Boss The Scent Pure Accord for Her.
Neh.
I wear it for business, week-end, friends, etc. For the base tones I could feel a very mild hint of rustic sweetness that I assume is the pear.
So I gave this away. and it lasts on my friend.
Top: Pear, Ambrette It smells nice, girly and pink but not too sweet. I get the comparisons to Idole w the pear note, but this is much softer and dewier.
I'd expect this release from Marc Jacobs before Givenchy.
Since it's somewhat one dimensional, I'd normally say it's not worth the money, but it lasts forever. The face of the advertising campaign is British model Fran Summers. I got a sample of this today, and I have to say it's a really pretty scent!! Another sample I got.
Fragrantica Trends is a relative value that shows the interest of Fragrantica members in this fragrance over time.
when i saw reviews mentioning the freshness i was put off a little, because i dont mind fresh scents but i dont love them either. I'm glad I only have a sample. I absolutely am in love with this.
It is simplistic and glamorous but also just the right size , so it is easy to handle. At first sniff I didn't know what to think!
I don't notice any other notes, although you could argue iris is present. It smells like candy to me.
I'm not a huge floral fan but it makes sense I like this since pear is the top note. 9 times out of 10 their fragrances are strong, TOO strong even, and I almost never have a problem with perfume being too much.
Hmm Irresistible looks promising almost identical to Dior's Homme intense with the exception of the rose in Givenchy irresistible over the lavender in DHI! It is for cool girls who work with ambition to be in Responsibility. I dislike fruity fragrances as they always give me headaches. The sweetness can be too much so I wouldn't suggest it for anyone who doesn't really like sweet scents.
Simple, floral, sweet & pretty. I smell the pear and rose upon first spray, a nice pleasant fruity/floral opening. I did not like the dry down. I could see myself wearing this specifically on days where I don't want an overwhelming fragrance. This is so musky, and powdery maybe from the iris. The opening kinda smells like it could be a Victorias Secret perfume. This smells so classy and cute, spring in a bottle.
People are always asking what I'm wearing.
Rose and iris can both be a bit iffy for me but here I don't mind them- the rose is not cloying and this isn't too powdery at all.
And for these two reasons are why I haven't bought it for myself - yet. I have never understood why this fragrance seemed to be completely ignored by the fragrance community when it was launched. HOWEVER, my skin eats this up, no trace left after 15 minutes. It isnt an overly complicated scent, and maybe not super unique either, but altogether its enjoyable and my main critique is that I wish it had a stronger sillage. I don't know if I'm crazy, but it really reminds me of the dry down of Parfums de Marly's Delina, Delina being a bit more fully bodied, sour and unique. (I like Delina more.)
This was a gift and the reviews had me worried. It gets softer on the dry down but the original smell is still there, just toned down.
Smells generic, boring, simplistic, NOTHING like Delina and so disappointing considering their Linterdit line is absolutely amazing.
Perfect for Spring- time.
I like it, it's a very pleasant scent.
It reminds me of JPG La Belle (must be the pear) not quite as sweet with a bit musk and powder but its less serious compared to La Belle, more playful and lighter. I love a good juicy pear note.
Givenchy didnt have to release this as it doesnt even bring anything new to the table. If you're a fan of Chanel Chance Eau Tendre, get this!
Unlike Lancome Idole though, the rose isn't cloying to me in here. I'm fairly happy with thisit's a bit too light-hearted for me, but nice to try. ~50 dollars or less is doable!
i pick up heavily on the pear at the opening. On my skin, though, its sweet, than floral, then sweet again. Very meh.
She's wearing this perfume.
It's less than a "universally pleasant easy grab-n-go" kind of scent.
Its exactly the type of thing that makes my pea brained male mind get cloudy and lose focus.
Irresistible Givenchy was created by Fanny Bal, Dominique Ropion and Anne Flipo. Musky, sweet and rose. Im questioning what was going on with the perfumersbut cant win them all, right?
Overall, pleasant and long lasting, but generic.
To me this would have been better if they just made it a straight fruity/floral/musk instead of going for the aquatic accord. slightly reminds me of god is a woman by ariana grande.
In my opinion, its similar to Valentino Valentina Pink on the dry down (sweet and fruity).
Not even she would wear it. Upon spraying, I could immediately smell a fruity scent with hints of alcohol, so the top notes come off as a strawberry champagne or fruity wine fragrance, similar to the body sprays you can find at VS or drugs stores. This does feel like it has that "mass market" appeal, but it's a little more special than others I've smelled recently.
The dry down is nicer but it somehow reminds me the scent of a drugstore shampoo I had sometime.
Typically girly just like the pretty bottle.
I was surprised that there is no vanilla listed in the notes.
Just WOW!
This smells especially like rose, iris and musk. Musky rose, not a whole lot I have to say about this one. I could reapply this one 72 times a day.
Alas, after I got home and properly tried it, I got very light insipid floral that is not very special. I see what people mean about it resembling shampoo but I disagree that it smells cheap.
Very sweet and attention-grabbing.
Irresistible Givenchy was launched in 2020. I have another Givenchy perfume, l'inderdit, and I do not have this issue with that one. I had to work hard to get the stench off of me! Because we can.
Smells like delicate soft roses with pear, not screechy at all.
Mademoiselle Rochas is a much better, more original and cheaper option if youre looking for a pretty, pink, quality fruity floral. A very creamy, almost waxy pear, that very quickly becomes a youthful skin scent like "AG Sweet Like Candy". I wish it had more sillage and staying powder, but it's still a balanced, classic but modern with that pear note, gorgeous little number.
Aw, man, this is such a bummer for me. It is a light and pretty scent, but its giving very much cheap shampoo vibes. It is classy like the bottle.
It's just too generic and reminds me of many celebrity perfumes I've smelled.
Really beautiful, but just not for me. Become a member of this online perfume community and you will be able to add your own reviews. A nice young woman scent, safely sweet and ok for everyday.
The opening was a beautiful pear, very strong, but after a few minutes it became very aquatic on my skin :(. Off-White Paperwork: A Quartet of Contrasts, Close Your Eyes, Relax, Breathe and Envision a Blue Light, Cacao In The Sun by Maison Tahit: Dipped Strawberries, WPC 2022 - Discovering Asafoetida with Galbanum Oil From Iran, A Brand New Victoria's Secret Fragrance: Bare, Givenchy Gentleman Eau de Parfum Reserve Prive. I am so disappointed by this one, I blind bought it because of the hype about it on YouTube, I received it yesterday and it is cheap smelling, nothing special AT ALL! Irresistible comes off as a sweet, fruity floral. I don't normally like the rose accord in perfumes neither the musky ones but THIS. I must admit that I've been a little stuck on my way to find a signature fragrance for the warmer evenings, so am very relieved to discover that Givenchy's Irresisitible seems to be a good contender.
I didnt try it but I fell in love with bottle immediately.
BUT! I'd rather get Idole even though it's not really my style either, but it's much less challenging.
Shipping Restrictions : This item cannot be shipped via air. 5/10.
For me its mainly soapy and powdery.
I got a free mini bottle in an online order. Im just bought a gift set of the full size EDP (80mls) and 75ml each in body wash and body lotion. Lasts until washed on my clothes.
After 10 minutes, it dries down to a more pear dominant scent with rose as a supporting note.
It really smells like Im just wearing plain old lotion in my skin. Based on reviews I was so excited to try it however all I smell is strawberry hairspray, and thats it. I received a sample and hadnt seen it in the box till now.
Top notes are Pear and Ambrette (Musk Mallow); middle notes are Rose and iris; base notes are Musk and Virginia Cedar. the scent didnt change on me at all which is nice in some ways.
A dewy, watery, sparkling rose with soft iris notes that give a little ballerina doll quality.
Its a sweet musk with a fresh pear note for the first hour or so, then it settles into a somewhat more vanillic sweet musk that I only wish was stronger!
I got a burst of fresh fruits like pear and apples upon first spray. Im super picky about my scents because there are very few that work on my skin. If youre looking for a more deep sultry scent this isnt it though but its still very nice!
I imagine ladies wearing this to an exclusive springtime event featuring sparkling beverages, high heels, and pale pink manicures. It's feminine, slightly mysterious and pretty. Nothing groundbreaking but its a fruity musk rose. This definitely has the same pear in L'interit, and is in the same genre with Idole. To my nose its the same alcoholic vibe than SI (just that first spray) and after the marshmallow on Ari.
On my skin this is very powdery and I even a bit lipstick-y. Its smells fruity sweet fresh in a light way, but with longevity.
I'm not usually a huge fan of floral perfumes, but I have to say that the bottom notes really round this scent out with a nice woody richness that I enjoy.
Shares DNA with "Delina" by Parfums De Marly and even more so with "Hayati" by Attar Collection.
Not a bad scent, but definitely not for me because I'm not a fan of pear or very sweet fragrances.
