Head to the second floor of the Inn and youll find a small bar tucked into a corner by the deck (with a view of Old Faithful), which is fantastic for when you want a drink that does not involve standing in line. They have the geyser eruption predictions and I didnt find the staff very helpful with information. They do not allow pictures once the show starts but you can take a few before that. So the park closed it to make it a real trail with boardwalks and stuff. Its not as spectacular as the Lower Terraces, but still worth seeing. You will see animals in the park easily .

However, if you have seen the Upper and Midway Geyer Basins, you might not be as appreciative as when you visit it first. Amazing views of Teton mountain range! However, if you suffer from acrophobia and are afraid of heights I would not recommend this place. I recommend heading to Jackson, Wyoming for a lunch stop and afternoon walk-about.

At 370ft wide and 121ft deep, Grand Prismatic Spring is the parks largest and deepest hot spring.

Old Faithful Inn dates back to 1903 and has an in-park location that's hard to beat it's just six minutes by foot to Old Faithful and less than three miles from Morning Glory Pool and Kepler Cascades. I didnt have enough time to do a lot of them, so most of my hikes were focused on the super easy. Definitely a great vantage point with nearly no walk required to view the Yellowstone waterfalls. The geyser called the Fishing Cone is most likely going to get your attention. I did not see any but I did not look very hard since I was enjoying the great waterfall view. Many geyser-gazing experts feel Norris Geyser Basin is the most exciting and unpredictable of the various basins in Yellowstone.
