We had the most amazing wedding at Gurneys in Sept. The addition of the spa in 1979 completed its transformation into a world-class resort. Ginny was so wonderful in making myself and the groom's vision come to life.

Her energy was so contagious and she kept us so excited the weeks leading up to the big day and most importantly the big day itself.

Food was okay. We saw many venues probably about 20-30 and Gurneys was by far the most beautiful - it was marginally more expensive than other venues but worth every penny as you receive so much for your money, its top notch.

I hosted two events at Gurney's - a welcome bonfire on Friday night, with food and drinks, and our wedding on Saturday. The venue for the wedding was beautiful and although the morning of poured , based on the weather apps , we stressfully made the decision to have ceremony outside. It enjoyed successful business during those years, but it was under the ownership of Nick Monte that began to resemble the resort it is today.
